CO2 offsetting with myclimate

A special responsibility
As the leading international trade show for transport and logistics, the IAA TRANSPORTATION is aware of its special responsibility arising from this - and is therefore moving forward on the topic of climate protection.
What exactly are we doing?
IAA Transportation enables all exhibitors to have a climate-neutral trade show appearance. To this end, we are working with the climate and offsetting experts at myclimate. The non-profit organization manages more than 140 carbon offset projects worldwide. By supporting these projects, exhibitors at the IAA Transportation can fully offset the greenhouse gases emitted during their trade show appearance. Participation is voluntary for exhibitors.
How is the CO2 balance determined?
In the run-up to the trade fair, our partner myclimate uses a questionnaire to determine all relevant information about stand equipment, materials used, personnel and transport conditions. On the basis of this data, myclimate creates a detailed CO2 balance and calculates the corresponding offsetting amount for the exhibitors. The exhibitors, in turn, can then select the project they would like to support from a range of different projects. A detailed overview of the climate projects is available on the myclimate homepage.
What does offsetting achieve?
By supporting the carbon offset projects of myclimate, exhibitors ensure that greenhouse gases are saved at the respective project location, so that the emissions generated during the trade fair are fully offset. In addition, exhibitors who participate in CO2 offsetting create promising jobs and ensure better living conditions at the project location.
How can I as a visitor recognize CO2-neutral stands?
We are committed to transparency when it comes to climate neutrality. Exhibitors who have taken part in the certification process with myclimate in the run-up to the IAA Transportation will receive a label from the climate protection organization as proof that they have offset their CO2 emissions. As a trade show visitor, you can use this label in the digital and printed exhibitor directory to see exactly which exhibitors have made their appearance at the IAA Transportation climate-neutral.
