Every day, around 10 million tonnes of goods are transported by road in Germany: quickly, efficiently, on time, from door to door and in an environmentally friendly way. In order to implement this safely and reliably, proper securing of the load is essential. Inadequate or even missing load securing can be the cause of avoidable accidents in which people are endangered and damage occurs to the vehicle and the cargo

At the IAA Transportation 2024, the German Road Haulage, Logistics and Disposal Association (BGL) and the German Association of the Automotive Industry (VDA) are once again underlining the great importance that transport companies and manufacturer of vehicles, trailers and superstructures attach to load securing with their joint event “Load Securing: From Practice for Practice”, which has been held every two years since 2002. The use of the latest methods for securing and loading goods on vehicles is an important contribution to quality assurance in transport companies and road safety.
